I was raised in Scarborough and lived in the Beaches area while going to law school and starting my legal career. I completed my law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 1999. I articled and initially practised in the areas of pensions, tax and trust law with Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt, a top Bay Street law firm. After my husband and I decided to move our family to Durham Region in the summer of 2000, I began practising family and wills and estates law here.

My practice has grown quickly and I have gained a reputation for professionalism, competence, fairness and efficiency. I have an excellent relationship with local mediators and have also completed my training in Collaborative Family Law. I am excited about being able to offer my family law clients new and better (and more cost-effective) ways of resolving issues on the breakdown of their relationships.

Despite all the "lawyer jokes" out there, I consider it a privilege to practise in a profession that allows me to help people at some of the most challenging times in their lives.

I was honoured when Justice Hughes asked me to assume her practice and her wonderful law clerks and office support staff. The real estate professionals at the firm have over 40 years of experience in all aspects of real estate law, and the wills and estates staff have been providing support in all areas of estate planning, litigation and mediation since the firm was founded. We are committed to continuing to provide the highest level of professional, personal service to our clients.

Whether you are buying or selling a home, planning for your loved ones in the event of your death, starting a relationship or ending one, I believe that having a lawyer you can trust, who makes you a priority, can be an invaluable help as you move through these significant events in your life.
